You can unlock a child lock on a car door using a few different methods depending on the type of system you have.
If you have an electronic locking system, disable them using a switch. You can find the switch either on your dashboard or on the armrests of the front doors. If you can’t find the switch in your car, check your owner’s manual to find the exact location in your car.
If you don’t have an electronic locking system, open the back passenger door of your car and switch it to an unlocked position. Repeat the process for both rear doors.
This will work for most cars, but some cars have model-specific steps to disable child safety locks. If these two methods don’t work for you, check your owner’s manual to see if the instructions differ.

Child lock on LG washing machine
It is well known that child lock on LG washing machine is not uncommon. It is difficult to find a model of an LG machine that would not be equipped with this useful feature. Meanwhile, there are housewives who do not know how to turn on child protection and how to turn it off later. It is for them that we have published this article. We hope it will be useful.
How does blocking work?
If you decide to try a child lock on your LG washing machine, you first need to understand how it works. Based on the name of the function, the child lock during washing locks the control panel of the machine by pressing a key combination. Having launched the desired washing program, the hostess presses these keys. After that, she may not be afraid that a small child will come up to the washing machine and start randomly pressing the buttons and turning the program switch knob. The panel will not work.
When the washing program is over, the hostess will be able to unlock and safely turn off the machine. The manufacturer, advertising this function, emphasizes the fact that the child will not be able to spoil the machine or interrupt the wash, but in our opinion this is cunning. The child lock paralyzes the operation of the following control panel elements:
- program switch knobs;
- stop/start buttons;
- "spin" and "temperature" buttons;
- buttons for intensive, wrinkle free, pre-rinse, super rinse.
In general, all elements are blocked except for the on/off button. And this is a problem, because the child may be interested in this particular button. By clicking on it, the child will turn off the washing machine right in the middle of the program. If this happens, then what is the use of the blocking function? We address this question to the manufacturer, and we ourselves move on.
Setting and removing the child lock
Anyone can set and then remove the child lock. To do this, press two buttons on the control panel at the same time after turning on the washing program. What are these buttons? You can look right now at the control panel of your LG washing machine and find two buttons: super rinse and pre. Usually they are accompanied by a drawing of a smiling lock. On different models of LG washing machines, these buttons may be located in different places.
You can see these buttons below the LG washing machine display. They will be located vertically, the “super rinse” button is on top, below the “preliminary”.
You can also see these buttons below the display, and they will be located horizontally. They will be, as it were, sandwiched between the Start / Pause and Spin buttons.
Finally, most often the lock buttons are located to the left of the display. There are 4 buttons that stand vertically, we will be interested in the first and second.
Press these two buttons and you can lock the control panel. If you press these two buttons a second time, you will be able to unlock the panel.
If a child accidentally turns off a locked LG machine, proceed as follows: turn on the machine, set the program that was on at the time of turning it off, press the two child lock buttons.
If CL appears on the display
Some housewives get really scared of any error code that appears on the LG washing machine display. It seems to them that if an error code appears, then the machine will certainly break down. Quite often this happens, but you should not be afraid of the CL error code. The CL code informs the hostess that the washing machine is child-locked and the panel will not function until the lock is released. If you turn off the protection correctly, then CL will disappear from the display.
So we figured out the features of the child lock of the LG washing machine. If you have any questions, write comments, we will be happy to open a discussion. Good luck!
LG washing machine - CL error - LG MAGAZINE Russia
LG is one of the recognized world market leaders in the production of washing machines. A wide range of models, ease of operation, unsurpassed build quality and durability combine favorably with the pricing policy.
With proper use and care, the LG washing machine will last for many years and will delight the owner with unsurpassed washing quality all the time.
If the washing machine has any malfunctions, in the vast majority of cases it will warn the user about this using a special letter code displayed on the display. This is a very convenient feature that will not allow you to use the equipment if there is a danger of the washing machine breaking down or the operation is carried out in violation of safety rules.
All error codes for your LG washing machine can be found in the User Manual that comes with the kit. If for some reason you cannot find the instruction, information about the error code can be found on the LG official website in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section.
One of the most frequently asked questions concerns the CL error in LG washing machines.
It happens like this: when you turn on the washing machine, the CL code is displayed, which does not allow you to perform any actions with the washer (select washing modes or start the washing process). When you turn it off and on again, the error code does not disappear. Don't panic. You can easily fix the CL error on the LG washing machine with your own hands. 9It would be more correct to call 0003
CL not an “error”, but an informational message. It signals to the owner that the child lock has been activated. This is very convenient for families where a small child likes to press all the buttons indiscriminately and can accidentally turn on the washing machine or, conversely, turn it off during washing, which can lead to equipment breakdown. Therefore, LG developed the Child Lock mode (abbreviated as CL), which blocks the buttons of the washing machine from being pressed.
If the LG washing machine gives out the CL code, and you did not turn on the anti-tampering mode, it may have happened by accident, or you or a member of your family set Child Lock when you previously used the LG washing machine, because when you turn off the CL mode automatically remains active.
How to disable CL on the washing machine LG : Step -by -Shag Close Placement, to turn off the mode combination of keys located on the control model. These combinations may be different for different models of LG washing machines. To find out exactly which combination is right for your particular model, it would be best to look at the information in the User's Guide.
If this is not possible, then you can try to choose a key combination from among the most common.
For any of the following combinations, hold down both buttons at the same time and hold for about three seconds. If the combination is correct, the CL code will disappear from the washing machine display and you will be able to use all functions again.
The most common key combinations to unlock Child Lock on washing machines LG :
- Prewash + Super Rinse.
- "Extra wash" + "Intensive wash".
- "Temperature" + Option key.
Please note: on some models of LG washing machines, the release buttons are marked with either a schematic representation of a child's face or a smile lock.
What if I can't turn off CL in normal mode?
In some cases, the CL code may appear if your washing machine is not working properly. In what cases can this happen?
- You are unable to disable CL by pressing the keys.
- The machine gives the code CL in the middle of the wash cycle, although no one has activated it.
In these cases, you should not try to fix the cause of the breakdown yourself, since in the vast majority of cases the repair will require removing the front panel from the washing machine. To avoid the final failure of your LG washing machine, the manufacturer strongly recommends that you immediately contact the official service center, where specialists will identify the cause of the malfunction and promptly eliminate it.
