So bad it's bordering on genius.
I'm a 20 year old male and was roped in to seeing this with my girlfriend, and I'm glad for it. The film has an incredibly predictable storyline, the acting isn't great, most of it complete and utter non-sense and most of events in the film hold little to no purpose.
I've gave it a high rating, however, because I don't think I've laughed quite as much at a film as I have at this one for a long, long time. I think the phrase 'so genius it's bordering on madness' applies here: the film isn't good, but that's where it succeeds. It's one of those films that aren't meant to be taken seriously, and as such you can just relax, and have a laugh. I spent a good hour or so crying of laughter, and I could't even catch my breath during the "I'm Spartacus" motif in the 'Honour Court' -- unintended comedy genius.
While it's no Space Odyssey and has less character depth in the entire film than is seen in one minute of A Clockwork Orange, it is nevertheless worth the watch.

A Lot or a Little?
The parents' guide to what's in this movie.
What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that teens will want to see this girl-bonding movie because of Emma Roberts' star appeal. And though there is a redemptive quality to the movie in the end, the damage is done by the very fact that her father would let her have unlimited Jimmy Choo's and Gucci ensembles in her closet to begin with. Although she proves to be a good kid after all, Poppy gets away with a whole lot of obnoxious behavior, which is the norm among her American friends.

This is a comedy with a lot of cultural irony
Just read the review . This is not a movie that encourage consumerism, and it looks like girls about age 13 will be capable to see the obvious humour in it. Watch it with your kids and use it as an opening to discuss typical early teens challenges.

Great Movie About Redemption of the Layers of Being Human
A movie with depth and, although predictable, quality acting. Definitely better suited for 13+, but there are some lessons to be learned here about friendship and growing as a person.

What's the Story?
Poppy (Emma Roberts) wakes up one morning in her beautiful Malibu Beach bedroom to the realization that her new stepmother is going to be moving in. She takes action, inviting a gang of friends over to ravage the moving truck, stealing or vandalizing all of her stepmother's belongings. Then she jumps off a cliff into the ocean. Her father (Aidan Quinn), enraged and red-faced, berates her and sends her to England to an all-girl's boarding school. There she tries to get kicked out of school by breaking as many rules as possible so she that can get back to Malibu. Somehow her roomates tolererate her long enough to help her in her scheme to get expelled. In the meantime, the teens bond and become friends. When Poppy is brought before the school's Honor Court, she has fully come around to realize what true friendship means. But is it too late?
Is It Any Good?
The ending of WILD CHILD is satisfying, but only because Emma Roberts is bright enough to allow a redemption for her rotten character to shine through. Here is a girl so spoiled that she can't think straight. Don't parents in Malibu have boundaries too? Ostensibly, she has been acting the spoiled brat because her mother has died and she is mourning. But what excuse do her spoiled friends have?
Luckily, there is a world outside of Malibu populated with adults and peers who are emotionally balanced and loyal to one another. Does it take such an extreme life change to knock sense into a girl like Poppy? Does Poppy deserve the kindness that her peers at Abbey Mount prep school shower her with? These real-life questions hang over the movie, detracting from what could amount to an effective moral tale. However, we viewers can suspend our disbelief only so long before we question whether the means justify the end.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about consumerism. Poppy and her American friends have everything that money can buy. Where do they get the money? Learn more about how kids spend money, and how the media targets teens to do so.
What do you think of the stereotype of rich, spoiled American kids? Is the portrayal of teenage life true to life in your community?
Poppy admits to having a "hole in her heart" since her mother died. How could her father have better addressed her misery? Was sending Poppy to boarding school the proper thing to do?

2 actors 2 actors 2 actors went to relax in nature. Spectators - fuckers should watch all this.
At first everything is very wow. Like a stupid model, who can do nothing but poke her finger at a smartphone, agrees to fly to Nice with a man she sees for the first time. But it ends up in Yakutia. So far, everything is logical, reliable, and it is expected that it will even be cool. A man is taking a model on a yacht to admire the beauties of Yakutia. Okay, let's say. Then he jumps off a cliff into a river and disappears. At first it seems that this is for intrigue, but no, it really breaks. It seems that the actor just broke the high price, and decided that it was enough to shoot him, the budget would not stand it. Or maybe he just swelled, and the script had to be changed involuntarily. Then the girl breaks the yacht, and remains alone in the taiga in a bathing suit, and it’s normal to run barefoot there without cuts and punctures. He still sleeps successfully, does not freeze. There is no gnat, the phone works, everything is fine. The fox, overfed, still runs after her. In short, everything is like in real life (as the screenwriter of this film sees it). Although, it is already hard to believe, and not funny. Then the trash begins with some "fishermen" who, very conveniently, suddenly appear, but in fact turn out to be killers sent to eliminate the original man who jumped from the cliff. And one younger, decides to quickly fuck our model. But crap! Our hero appears. Who is our hero? Guess! And our hero is another woman, of course. It is so modern, so trendy, so European. Well, our hero-woman is ... the wife of the original man who jumped from the cliff. She symbolizes a real modern Yakut woman. He manages either a diamond or a gold mining company, builds a husband and all men in general at once, owns edged weapons, and even communicates with the forces of nature. This hero-woman gets into a boat with a propeller, and goes to look for her husband's reveler. In short, it got quite boring. As a result, first she saves the model, then the model saves her, and everything ends with a warm and strong friendship of two types of smart cool women. The men in the movie are just embarrassing. Husband - drunk, subordinates - scoundrels, bandits - some kind of clumsy. One word, stupid males. And what is the movie about? Yes, nothing. Reflection of some fantasies in the inflamed brain of office hamsters, who consider Facebook a source of knowledge about the world.

3 Boring
All the time there was a feeling that the film was created in parts by different people or pieces were torn out of different films. There is no integrity, action, everything is somehow incomprehensible. I would argue that this is a comedy. More like an unfinished horror movie in Russian. Plus - only the very quality of shooting, everything else you predict right away, it's not interesting.
Considering that we got to the cinema just through the hells of the world, it's not worth it. They made a turn 2 times, the navigator led to a dead end, in the parking lot where there were no people they tried to find the entrance, then they climbed to the 5th floor with a foot-drag. The mall was closed. As a result, we were alone in the hall, high, but the movie sucks

Fierce nonsense, don't go.
Instead of making a decent movie in such a beautiful place as Yakutia, for some reason they showed an advertisement for a comedy - they shot a series for RTR.

A very strange film. Everything is mixed.
The only thing missing is alien robots from another galaxy.
And so, comedy, murders, thriller, mysticism, fantasy, rape, horrors, alcohol-drugs-sluts...
In short, a hodgepodge.
All the people left a little after the middle of the movie, but we stayed because we had no other choice.
