With the release of the Hearthfire DLC, players will be able to adopt oprhan boys and girls found in Skyrim's various cities.

There are few things that need to happen before you can adopt a child of your own.

You can't adopt a kid until you have a house, and have completed Innocence Lost. After Grelod The Kind is dead you will get a letter from Constance Michel saying that she is in charge of the Honorhall Orphanage now, as well as asking you to adopt a kid.

Any time after this point you can go to the orphanage and adopt a kid. He/she will then move into your house just like a spouse would.

To start with you can only adopt the kids who are in the orphanage, how ever after you are able to adopt kids, the game will send the children of any slain NPC's to Honorhall Orphanage where you can adopt them.

There is an exception to this rule: An alternative to this is finding a beggar child anywhere in Skyrim (usually in a town). For example, a new NPC brought in from hearthfire is Lucia who is seen begging in Whiterun. You can talk to her and adopt her then and there as long as you have a childrens bedroom in one of your houses.

you can also replace one of your rooms in your house for a children's bedroom but be warned that if you want to change its back you must pay a little pay.

Your children can also give you things in the world but if you adopt a child who find things for example the child in windhelm finds flower and sells them so if you adopt her, she will have a bigger chance of find things. New Skyrim Mod Makes Children Playable

A new Skyrim mod puts a wholesome spin on an old NPC abusing add-on by making children playable and giving them all the Dragonborn's abilities.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077, despite its incredibly violent and bloody appearance, wouldn't allow players to kill every NPC they came across; specifically NPCs important to the story and children. This has already led to some speculating that, once the game releases on PC, someone will make a mod that will allow players to bypass this, much like the Immersive Children mod that was made for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim last year. However, recently, one creator came up with a very different idea and has made a mod where the children can now fight back.

Titled "Race mod 1.1" and created by KaitiSans on Nexus Mods, this mod "adds children as a playable race" to the game, allowing players to tackle the land of Skyrim and explore its dark caves, loot its treasures and slay its many dragons as a little boy or girl. According to the mod page, players can also have their child be one of three different races - the Nords, the Imperials and the Bretons. Child characters aren't defenseless either. Apparently, they will be able to do everything that the Dragonborn can do - wield heavy weapons, don tough armor and even use many magical abilities like blast fire out of their hands. In addition, the mod includes an option to play as another additional race - the Ohmes-raht, which is a sub-species of the Khajiit.

Despite coming out in 2011, Skyrim continues to be an immensely popular title that is still played to this day, partly in thanks to its numerous re-releases, and also because of its still apparently thriving modding community. This year so far, we've seen examples like a mod that adds a motorcycle to the game and the incredibly ambitious multiplayer mod that allows players to experience the game together (though that one's currently still a beta).

Bethesda has stated that it hopes to recreate this kind of success with it next Elder Scrolls title, simply called The Elder Scrolls 6 for now. While details are still very scarce, Bethesda's Todd Howard has said that it hopes to create a game that people will still be playing for at least a decade.

2. WHO CAN BE ADOPTED IN THE GAME

You can go to the "Noble Orphanage" in Riften, and contact Constance Michel in the orphanage. The latter, if anyone does not remember, as a result of completing the Innocence Lost quest - to help orphans get rid of the despot-educator - becomes the "manager" of the orphanage. If the quest has not yet been completed, or you have decided to win back the “good” Dovakin and abandoned the dark brotherly line, then you will not succeed in adopting children from the orphanage, since the mischievous old woman Grelod the Kind does not even want to discuss the issue of adoption. nine0003

In addition to the children who were previously in the orphanage, after installing the Hearthfire add-on, children who were orphaned during the passage of the game (i.e. whose parents were killed) are placed there, but only after the death of Grelod.
