You can make an original New Year's gift bag from a used shoe box. For decor, the decoupage technique is used, that is, the transition to the surface of the image from a beautiful napkin. It is desirable - that it be on a New Year's theme - it can be not only Christmas trees, snowmen, snowflakes, but also the symbol of the year - the Rabbit.

First of all, you need to measure the dimensions of the lid from the box and cut out a rectangle of the same size from paper. On this basis, a figured “sample” of the product will be built.


Arbitrarily draw a curved line along the length of the rectangle - the edge of the future package.
Attach the pattern to the base and lid of the box, circle and cut with scissors along the marked line.


The sides of the box must be cut to the required size, the box is glued to the seams with a glue gun.
White should be painted on each side of the box so that the background for the image to be inserted is uniform. If the shoebox is originally white, then you don't need to paint it completely, just paint on lettering and other decorative elements.


The napkin with the New Year's image needs to be unfolded, the top layer of paint should be separated, and the bottom layer with a faint imprint should be set aside.


On one side of the box, hold with PVA glue. Carefully apply a damp cloth with the image. As soon as the napkin begins to be impregnated with glue, with a brush it is necessary to smooth it on the surface in all directions, removing wrinkles and bubbles.
