How to summon a black eyed child
Don’t Let Them In! The Urban Legends of Black-Eyed Children | Monstrum
(slow music)
- You're relaxing at home when there's a knock on the door.
You peer through the peephole and see a small child
with their hoodie obscuring their face.
You open your door and ask if they need help.
But when they look up,
you are staring into black lifeless eyes.
It's not hard to figure out
why these creatures horrify us so much.
It's in their name.
Black-eyed children or black-eyed kids, also known as B.E.K,
are modern monsters whose eerie
and unnatural appearance and behavior inspire fear.
The unusual eyes are unnerving.
But it's the age of these monsters
that really amps up the terror.
What is it about evil children that freaks us out so much?
(dramatic music)
Dr. Emily Zarka and this is "Monstrum."
The first report of a black-eyed kid appeared in 1998.
Texan reporter Brian Bethel wrote of an experience
he had two years prior while he was sitting in his car
near a movie theater.
Bethel claimed that his car was approached by two boys
around the ages of 9 and 12 wearing hooded sweatshirts.
One appeared as an olive-skinned, curly-headed young man,
and the other a red-headed,
pale-skinned, freckled young man.
Bethel opened the window a crack
and the two boys asked for a ride to their mother's house
to pick up some money so they could see
the "Mortal Kombat" movie.
To this day Bethel recalls that when the second one
of the boys spoke, he felt an unnatural sense of dread.
He pointed out the movie had already started
and they wouldn't make it back in time.
But the boys began to push harder saying things like
they were just two kids
and that they didn't have a gun or anything.
Bethel describes their voices as mechanical and rehearsed.
The strange experience culminated in terror
when he realized each boy had black eyes,
soulless orbs with no white showing at all.
Understandably unnerved, he began to drive away,
but one of the boys banged on his window and angrily cried,
"We can't come in unless you tell us it's okay.
"Let us in."
Bethel sped off, and upon checking his rear view mirror
he noted that the strange black-eyed children
had completely vanished.
In 2013 Bethel wrote that his strange experience
with these children was originally shared
in a private communication with a small group of friends
on an email list that then was leaked onto the internet.
I couldn't find any evidence of this original document,
but Bethel's story is undoubtedly
the foundation of all B.E.K. lore.
And that's how an urban legend is born.
In eyewitness accounts and other stories,
the childlike creatures
are frequently wearing hooded clothing.
Although some versions claim
they are dressed in antiquated outfits.
They have odd speech patterns, black eyes,
and perhaps most importantly,
they just don't act in a way we think children should.
Similar to some vampire legends,
it appears that they must be invited into a private space.
And to me, this creepiness of evokes fairy,
demon, and changeling vibes.
Though encounters tend to end without lasting effects,
some people who've had run-ins with these creatures
report nightmares and agoraphobia.
Through the numerous interviews
Bethel conducted as his story circulated online,
others across the world began to speak up
about their own supposed experiences
with other black-eyed children.
England in particular seems plagued by black-eyed children.
And they often serve as fodder
for tabloid magazines and newspapers.
Like in 2014, when songwriter
and paranormal investigator Lee Brickley
was interviewed by the Birmingham Mail
about the siting in Cannock Chase, England.
The sensational story was quickly picked up
by the British and international press.
Brickley had been investigating rumored sightings
of a black-eyed ghost in Cannock Chase.
(woman screaming)
Including one where a woman and her daughter
were out for a walk when they heard screams
and spotted a child wandering alone.
The mother ran to catch up, but could not find the child.
When she turned back around,
a girl appearing to be 10 years old
stood there with her hands over her eyes.
She asked, "Are you okay?
"Were you screaming?"
The girl just dropped her hands and revealed eyes
the woman said were completely black, no iris, no white.
Startled, the woman grabbed her daughter and jumped back.
When she looked up expecting to see the child,
she'd vanished.
Interestingly, Brickley also claimed that the same girl,
whom he calls a ghost, had been seen 30 years earlier
in 1982 in that same area by his own aunt,
something he wrote about in his 2013 book,
"UFOs Werewolves & the Pig-Man. "
Brickley claims that his aunt heard a child crying at night,
and following the sobs
she came upon a girl about six years old
who looked up at her with completely black eyes
before racing off into the woods.
Even a police search for the child turned up nothing.
The sightings of this singular female B.E.K.
in Cannock Chase may be connected
to a real life tragedy that influenced
Brickley's identification of the creature as a ghost.
Cannock Chase made headlines in the 1960s
as the site of one of the largest police investigations
in British history, the search for the murderer
of three local school girls.
Some say the black-eyed child of that area
is the ghost of one of the girls.
And it would make sense that a young female resident
who grew up with those stories
would believe that she had seen something,
even if it wasn't there.
As the urban legend of the black-eyed children
evolved out of references to eyewitness accounts
of the monsters in the British and American press,
their presence across media of all kinds exploded.
Numerous YouTube videos claim to show evidence
that such creatures exist.
(people yelling)
The B.E.K. also gained notoriety and lore expansion
through crowdfunded fan fiction texts and productions like
"Sunshine Girl and the Hunt for Black Eyed Kids,"
"The Black Eyed Children,"
and "Black Eyed Children: Let Me In."
The comic series "B.E.K." expands the monster's threat
with the invention of a violent origin story,
where regular children turn into black-eyed kids
if they murder their family.
B.E.K. are such great modern folklore
because they defy romanticized notions of childhood
and the inherent goodness of children,
ideas that have evolved over time.
The perception of children as innocent and weak
requiring constant adult instruction,
both morally and physically,
is a relatively modern invention.
Prior to the Romantic period,
children were largely socially insignificant.
They were background characters, relegated to chores,
familial duties, and little else.
But with the progression of the Industrial Age
in the late 18th century, as infant mortality declined,
and literature and philosophy
regarding child education grew,
alongside increased scrutiny around child labor,
the cultural concept of the child changed.
Childhood became a sacred cultural symbol,
a time of perceived innocence and happiness
when children were not valued
for their usefulness or economic viability,
but rather for their hopeful possibility and vulnerability.
This new of childhood continued to progress
and evolve well into the 20th century,
when the seismic social shifts
following World War II changed everything.
Suddenly youth culture and scrutiny
of popular media's influence on children became hot topics.
And 1950s pop culture was flooded with movies and literature
showing bad kids and juvenile delinquents.
Around this time, the theme of children being born evil
became a prevalent one, as we were introduced
to ever younger characters
with genetically inherited threatening characteristics,
like a desire to kill and mind control.
Then through the 1970s and all the way into the 90s,
we see a spike in horror texts
with children possessed by demons
or some other kind of evil entity.
They're even portrayed as the literal offspring
of Satan or the devil himself.
The rise of the child villain
can be framed in countless ways,
including an emerging fear of youth culture
stemming from a movement away
from traditional conservative ideas by younger generations.
Others argue it's a manifestation
of Freud's Oedipus complex, where it is the id,
the instinctual unconscious part of the mind of the child
that wants to murder the parent,
or Peter Pan Syndrome, which locates the child's
desire to kill in an attempt to reject
their own future as an adult.
And sure, as a generalized explanation
for the increase in fictional accounts
of terrifying children, these all make sense.
But none of that really explains the other key feature
besides age that makes the black-eyed children scary,
those black eyes.
The eyes are the window to the soul is a familiar saying.
We communicate with our eyes
and they serve vital survival and social functions.
So when they appear unnaturally obscured,
we become uncomfortable, even scared.
Scientific research does show that we tend to track
the eye movements of others
as an evolutionary social mechanism.
Perhaps the inability to follow the gaze of the B.E.K.
is what adds to their eeriness
and the danger they threaten.
They could be looking anywhere or nowhere.
Unfortunately, this concept was at one point
taken it to the extreme with a practice called physionomy,
which is predicated on the idea
that one's facial features and eyes
could be read as a natural language
that would reveal insight about a person's character,
or supposedly an indication of their ethnic origins.
Needless to say, there was a lot of bigotry
and racism in the practice.
Although its roots date back to ancient Chinese,
Japanese, and Mesopotamian traditions,
the practice held prominent intellectual weight
in Europe until the 18th century.
Unsurprisingly, the eyes were the most
important feature to interpret.
According to a late 15th century text,
eyes with no whites visible
were manifestations of unreliability in a person.
There is also a larger cultural history
of dark eyes or black eyes being tied
to inherent evilness or an inner darkness,
including many racist depictions
of non-white individuals in literature, including children.
Dark or black eyes are also featured
in evocations of possession and demonic presence,
and often symbolize a lack of control.
To me, black-eyed children are the, excuse the pun,
offspring of four main threads.
One, our natural wariness of an obscured or unusual gaze.
Two, intergenerational conflict.
Three, the legacy of malevolent children in horror films.
And four, the ease of which the internet
reinforces urban legends.
The power of the internet to expand the reach
of these creatures cannot be overstated.
Historically folklore and folk tradition
had been passed on through generations by word of mouth,
and could even take years to spread
from one country or continent to the other.
But in modern times, the worldwide web
functions as a global town square,
the electronic equivalent of sharing stories by the fire.
I know that personally, thanks to a combination
of the "Children of the Corn" and the French film, "Them,"
I am terrified of trick-or-treaters.
Which yes, makes me somewhat of a Halloween Grinch,
but it also helps me understand
why stories of B.E.K. continue to circulate.
Obviously we know that my fear of trick-or-treaters
is largely irrational,
and we know that there aren't soulless children out there
trying to kill us, right?
I mean the black-eyed kids are always trying
to breach the border from outside to inside,
from a public space with witnesses
to a private, more solitary one.
Their faces are obscured, their eyes unreadable.
This particular urban legend
seems to tap into something deeper.
We are genetically programmed to care for
and protect the youngest of our species for survival.
So when they are portrayed as sinister and dangerous,
it is deeply unsettling.
The world of B.E.K. suggests that if you care for children,
they will kill you.
And if you ignore them, they will haunt you.
Legend of the Black-eyed children
They might knock on your door on a late wintry night. You may see them approaching your car while you are waiting at the signal or a gas station. It might seem like they need help or they might just stand still for no reason.
These children do not look threatening. They would want to get in your house or your car. They will be persistent. Suddenly, you will notice something is not right about these children. Their eyes, pure black, from lid-to-lid, dead black orbs devoid of sclera or iris will chill up your spine; you have finally come across the black-eyed children.
Black-eyed children or black-eyed kids is an urban legend of paranormal creatures that resemble children between the ages of six and sixteen. These creatures with pale skin and black eyes have reportedly been seen hitchhiking, panhandling, or at the doorsteps of residential homes.
A dozen of stories keep circulating, all following a very similar pattern. Kids with eyes completely blacked out appear at people's home or vehicle, knock on the door, and then insist upon getting inside. Anyone who encountered them has almost immediately felt an overwhelming sense of dread.
Besides blacked-out eyes, these children typically appear normal. Sometimes, their attire seems outdated. In extremely unusual instances, people have reported encountering creatures with talon-like feet.
No one knows where or how these creatures pop up. Conspiracy theorists believe that Black-eyed children are aliens trying to reach out to their "Earth". Demonologists believe they are children of the devil himself and if you let them in, you are allowing the devil to enter your life. They want to enter your home to call their parents, however, upon making eye contact, it seems like there is a much sinister plot to the story.
Some people claim that these children have existed since the 1980s; however, most sources say that the legend originated in 1996 in posts written by a Texas reporter named Brian Bethel where he wrote about two alleged encounters with the black-eyed children.
He said that he encountered two children in Abilene, Texas, with pale skin and black eyes. In 2012, Bethel retold his story on the TV show Monsters and Mysteries in America; he then wrote an article for the Abilene Reporter-News where he described his experience again.
One of the stories goes like this; in the snowy town, within the middle of nowhere of Vermont, an elderly couple heard the sound of three loud knocks on their door. They opened the door and saw two children, a boy and a girl. "Parents will be here soon, may we come in?" The children did not make eye contact and just stood there in the doorway. The elderly couple were hesitant but after a while, they let the boy and girl inside.
The kids settled on the couch while the wife made some hot cocoa and the husband asked them questions that went unanswered. The wife returned and noticed that her cat was scared and angry with the children. "May we please use the restroom?"
The wife looked at the kids and she finally saw them. The children's eyes were as black as a starless universe. She directed them to the bathroom and returned to her husband who was covering his face with his hand. "Did you see their eyes?" the husband then show her his hand full of blood from a nosebleed.
The power suddenly went out and the house turned as dark as the kids' eyes. The wife headed to the restroom and was confronted by the voice of the kids at the end of the hall uttering, "Our parents are here." The kids then exited the house leaving the door wide open. The wife then noticed that there were two men at the end of the driveway. The men were very tall and slender; the wife waved but did not receive the same friendly gesture. The two men and children then drove away together in one car.
The power then came back on a little later after the kids left. Throughout the next week, weird things happened in the house; three out of four cats went missing and the fourth had been found dead in the pool of its blood. The husband continued to have nosebleeds and finally went to the doctor, where he was diagnosed with very aggressive skin cancer.
This legend even crossed bodies of water and landed in the great land of the UK where in 2014, the Daily Star wrote three front-page stories about sightings of the black-eyed children in the haunted pub in Staffordshire. Ghost hunters who believed that the black-eyed children were extra-terrestrials, vampires or ghosts took these alleged sightings very seriously.
Nowadays, people still claim to see the black-eyed children when driving late at night down an empty road, or outside of their window late at night, or even lurking in the shadows of their room. Many people have reported seeing the black-eyed children standing in the corner of their room during their episodes of sleep paralysis or even waking up in the middle of the night because they sensed someone was watching them and in the shadows were these children.
Who are black-eyed children, what do these creatures look like, why do they cause fear
Black-eyed children are strange and dangerous alien creatures that have been trying to break into homes and vehicles since 1996. They usually appear at night, knocking on doors or windows and asking to be let in. Who are these black-eyed children, and why are people afraid of them? They say that in fact these are not children at all, but some otherworldly creatures with completely black eyes, causing horror and bringing anger and chaos to our world.

What black-eyed children look like
Black-eyed children first appeared in 1996 in the cities and villages of Great Britain, and since then witnesses have described their appearance in different ways. Despite the fact that eyewitness accounts differ, epithets such as “creepy”, “frightening”, “strange”, etc. are present in the descriptions.
Beings in the form of boys are unusually pale, with blond hair. They usually wear modern clothes, although several witnesses reported that they were dressed in old-fashioned fashion, or their outfits resembled Mennonites. They may wear sunglasses or grow long bangs to hide their eyes.
Alien from the underworld?
Black-eyed children usually appear in pairs, doubling their ability to intimidate their victims. These can be creatures in the form of boys or girls aged 6 to 16 years. Usually one child in a couple is several years older than the other.
Of course, their eyes give them a nightmarish look. Before you look into their eyes, you may mistake them for ordinary children. But when you see their eyes - solid black, with no distinction between pupil, iris, and whites - you can't go wrong. Some witnesses claim that their eyes look like lacerations, while others describe their eyes as shiny black light bulbs.
What emotions do black-eyed creatures
They are scary. Every living creature that meets black-eyed children, whether it be a cat, an adult or a toddler, a military man or a schoolboy, shows the same reaction: horror.
It is obvious that otherworldly beings radiate negative emotions, provoking panic and fear, but their true identity is not completely clear. Are they really as evil and dangerous as the feelings they evoke? Since eyewitnesses do not allow black-eyed children into their homes, it is unclear what the intentions of these entities are. They can be both sinister and completely innocent.
As a rule, one child in a couple (the eldest) approaches unfamiliar people and dwellings without hesitation and even brazenly, and firmly insists on going inside. Meanwhile, the youngest child will stand quietly and shyly behind his companion. Some eyewitnesses report a strong desire to help or protect the youngest child.
Only facts. Eyewitnesses say that children have monotonous, lifeless voices, not at all similar not only to children's, but even to adult human voices.
By insisting on going inside, the children show the utmost politeness. They use words like "please, sir, ma'am" when talking to you, and they usually walk away slowly when they're refused.
Those who let the children on the threshold of the house were psychologically attacked and fled in horror, locking themselves in one of the rooms to hide from the gaze of completely black eyes.
Creatures' Hidden Potential
Since black-eyed children rarely manage to get into the house, their real aspirations and opportunities remain incomprehensible to society. No one knows what result they can achieve if they can achieve their goal and enter the house.
However, there are many facts and strange events going on around these children to suggest that these non-human beings have incredible powers.
First, they probably have some form of psychic or telepathic ability. Witnesses report that the children look at each other, as if mentally communicating with each other, and silently call the adults who open the doors to this silent call.
They are known for their ability to manipulate emotions, causing fear, panic and terror so intense that bystanders tremble or sweat and the animals hide. At the same time, black-eyed children can have a hypnotic effect on their victims, making them feel like they have to open the door and let intruders in.
Secondly, these creatures seem to be surrounded by an electric or radioactive field. People always notice that there are power outages, and electric lights start flashing when children appear at the door of the house. One woman claimed to have let her children inside and has been suffering from nosebleeds ever since. She was diagnosed with advanced skin cancer, which is a consequence of strong radioactive exposure.
Strange children with completely black eyes hardly speak. It is believed that their ability to speak is limited. Some witnesses reported hearing only one or two phrases from them (“we need to use your phone” or “our parents will be here soon”). They may also make logical errors using old-fashioned expressions such as the telegraph rather than the telephone, and they sometimes say nonsensical nonsense, such as asking for "ketchup to wear an apple." Other eyewitnesses describe the children as smart and bright. For example, if you tell them they can't go inside to use your phone, they will ask you to go inside to use the bathroom or warm up.
Although children are active during the day, they prefer to move around late at night. It is noticed that their activity increases on Halloween every year.
Story 1. Casting out the devil
One of the very first appearances of black-eyed children was officially registered in 1950. A 16-year-old young man named Harold was walking down the street outside his Virginia home when he noticed a boy in his 10s leaning against a nearby fence. Harold greeted him, but received no answer. He turned to leave, but the mysterious boy finally said, “I want to go to your house. You're going to take me to your house."
It was then that Harold noticed the child's eyes - they were completely black. All his instincts were screaming "Run!" And yet he just stood there, and his legs would not obey. Then, as if reading Harold's mind, the boy said, "Now you can't run from me. You're going to take me to your house."
This was enough to put Harold into action; he ran with all his might to the house. Subsequently, the guy claimed that he heard the child emit a strange cry, similar to a bird's call, but did not want to turn around to verify this. The guy told his parents everything that happened to him. His father went out armed with a gun, looking for what they thought was the devil. But the black-eyed child was gone, he was nowhere to be seen. However, Harold's mother demanded that his father go to the local priest to bless the place and be safe.
Story 2. At night at a gas station
This story took place in November 2012, at a car gas station in Louisiana. At three o'clock in the morning at the round-the-clock gas station, for no reason, the electricity went out. The tanker on duty went to see what had happened to the generators. There was no light, so he used the backlight of his cell phone. But the phone's LED only illuminated certain areas, such as the cash register and the parking lot, while the rest of the gas station was plunged into darkness. And suddenly the tanker noticed how three children on bicycles were heading towards him.
They stood at the door and looked at the employee. He felt frightened, but they were just children, although the time had long been unchildish. He opened the door and asked if everything was all right. A young girl of about 15 in a monotonous voice asked to use the phone, but when he handed her his mobile phone, he noticed that her eyes were completely black. The girl returned the mobile phone with the words "No, I need a real one!" She pointed to a landline phone inside the gas station. The thought of letting her inside made the employee go cold. He called to them to get out, slammed the door and bolted it.
The strange children stood for a moment, silently staring at him through the glass with their solid black eyes. They then returned to their bikes and disappeared into the darkness. The next morning, the attendant wanted to review the surveillance tapes. Unfortunately, due to a lack of electricity, the cameras were turned off and they would not start even when the portable generator was turned on. There was no evidence of a strange frightening meeting with the tanker, few people believed him.
Story 3. They bring misfortune
In January 2016, a Vermont woman reported that she had actually let black-eyed children into her home. It happened a little over a year ago, during a snowstorm that raged outside the door and, in her words, "destroyed the world. " The woman was very surprised to hear a loud knock. Assuming someone must have crashed their car while trying to navigate the snowstorm, she walked to the door and looked out the window. There was no car. The woman suddenly experienced a fear that she could not understand. The knocking on the door continued, so she decided to wake her husband up so that he himself would come and open it.
There were two small children on the other side of the door, very lightly dressed, which was strange considering the storm outside. The woman and her husband let the little boy and girl inside despite a strong sense of unease. The presence of unexpected guests made the couple feel fear and oppression, and almost instantly they regretted it.
The animals in the house also behaved strangely. One cat hissed and the other three hid, unusual behavior for all of them. And it didn't seem to matter that the woman asked the children: What happened? You get lost? Do you want hot cocoa? The answer was always the same: "Our parents will be here soon. "
However, the mistress of the house prepared cocoa for them, and when she returned with mugs, she noticed their eyes. They were completely black, with no proteins at all, only giant black pupils. They asked to use the bathroom, and she allowed. Then, suddenly, one after the other, things happened: her husband began to bleed, the electricity went out, and when she rushed for a napkin, both children stood in front of her, staring at her from the hall.
In a monotonous voice, the kids said: "Our parents are here."
Then they left through the front door. She watched as creepy kids got into a black car with two very tall men in suits. They left. Within a month of the Peculiar Children's visit, three of their four cats went missing; the fourth, the one that hissed, was found in a pool of blood, dead from a hemorrhage. The husband continued to bleed from his nose and was eventually diagnosed with skin cancer despite spending little time in the sun. The woman began to suffer from chronic nosebleeds, like her husband, and her health gradually began to deteriorate. She is sure that this happened because of the black-eyed children.
Black-eyed children
Recently, the media began to write a lot about the mysterious children with black eyes (English Black-eyed children / Black-eyed kids). Usually they knock on the doors of houses, and sometimes they start pestering people on the streets. Most often it is a boy of 12 years old or a young man older. Sometimes there are two teenagers. They ask to be allowed to call, or to drink water, or to go to the bathroom. But practically no one lets them into the house: in the end, panic fear overpowers everything. Scientists are trying to unravel their phenomenon, although researchers consider them to be punitive detachments of aliens or creatures from a parallel world, but no one knows who they really are.
People who met these creatures say that outwardly these creatures practically do not differ from ordinary children or teenagers. The skin of these children is paler than usual. Often creatures speak to people in absolutely unchildish voices, quite confidently, coldly and monotonously, which inspires people with growing anxiety and incredible fear. Witnesses claim that they experienced the greatest horror just at the moment when they looked into their bottomless coal-black eyes. Allegedly, pupils and irises were completely absent in them, only black eyeballs were visible.
The first meeting of a person with such a black-eyed child dates back to 1982. Then a certain teenage girl with her peers spent time near the forest of Cannock Chase. At dusk, the girl heard loud children's cries. Running on them, she reached a dirt road, where she noticed a receding silhouette. Catching up with him, it became clear that it was a little girl about six years old. When the girl turned around and looked at the eyewitness with her black eyes, the second one was visited by a terrible nightmare. The girl immediately turned away and ran away into the depths of the forest. The investigation of the strange case by the police did not lead to any results.
The most striking case of contact between a person and children with black eyes is the story of Texas reporter Brian Bethel:
“On January 16, 1998, around 10 pm, he stopped in the well-lit parking lot at the cinema to fill out a check for paying for the Internet. Suddenly, someone knocked on the window of his car. They were two 13 year old boys. One of them turned to the journalist, explaining that they wanted to watch the film, but left the money at home. Will he do them a favor and take them home? It seemed that the guys looked absolutely normal, but a terrible, inexplicable fear began to emerge in Bethel's soul. Something in their behavior, in speech (only one boy spoke, and he spoke not like a teenager, but like an adult, confidently and not embarrassed), in their movements was very strange and alarming. Brian suddenly realized that the movie they supposedly wanted to see started about an hour ago and was supposed to end soon. He did not want to let the children into the car, but he realized that the hand, not obeying him, was reaching out to open the door itself. When their eyes met, Brian froze in horror: the children's eyes were jet black. Pupils and white iris were absent. All black eyeballs. Just for a moment, Brian looked away. But that was enough for him to come to his senses. The journalist raised his hand. And the boys spoke again: “Come on, mister, we won’t do anything to you, we don’t have weapons, let us in. We can't get in until you say we can. Let us in!" Through incredible efforts, Bethel shook off his stupor and pressed on the gas. The car started off. Brian looked around - there was not a soul in the parking lot.
“I believe that I was in danger, and I believe that it came from something extraordinary. What I experienced then was one of the most terrible events in my life, and I have not the slightest desire to face such a thing again, ”Brian repeated more than once.
Soon, while visiting his friend, Brian met a woman who turned out to be a psychic. As soon as he began to talk about his adventure, the woman interrupted him. “Did they have black eyes? she asked. “Completely black?” When he confirmed this, the sensitive woman said that she had recently seen children with black eyes in a dream. According to her, they wanted to enter her house, but she did not let them in, instead carefully locking all doors and windows. “I knew that if they came in, they would kill me,” the woman said. “And they would have killed you too if you had let them into the car.”
In the same 1998, Brian Bethel created a list of paranormal events associated with such creatures. People from Texas, Portland, Oregon sent him by mail their impressions of sudden encounters with "black-eyed children."
Kyle from Boise, Idaho says:
“A friend called me late at night, completely terrified. He was in town with his girlfriend and they stopped at a mini market to buy snacks before heading back to their apartment to start a movie marathon. When they were in the parking lot, two children were standing close to the car. What scares me the most about this is that my friend was so shocked by what happened that he called me to tell me everything. I heard fear in his voice. He said that two children asked him to give them a ride to the bus stop for a few miles. But my friend said that both children had black eyes, and they also spoke with a strange confidence, almost as if they were older. He said he felt the urge to open his door, as if the child was exercising some sort of mind control. The children finally received a negative answer and left. I told my friend to wait there and hang up."
Kyle's friend was later hit by a truck, which instantly killed both him and his girlfriend. The truck driver told the police that he swerved to avoid hitting two children on the side of the road...
According to legend, one man did let such a child into the house, allegedly to go to the toilet. But, having entered, the boy declared that he no longer wanted to go to the restroom, but came to pick up the owner . .. In horror, the man ran out of the house and died on the spot from a broken heart. Some eyewitnesses are not sure that they saw children with black eyes in reality and suggest that this could be a dream or a vision. In some cases, those who refused to let the children into the house later met them on the street: they stood and looked at them with their terrible eyes. Usually they come to the private sector and knock on the doors of houses, and most often, 12-year-olds appear in front of the eyes of the astonished owners, asking for help and permission to call home. Adults immediately begin to experience a vague panic and try to close the passage to intruders, although this is difficult to do due to the mysterious effect of their gaze, and many of them are still sure that the creatures are not really babies. Black-eyed children cannot be seen in schools or other places where young people gather. Their habitats remain a complete mystery.
In 2005, a woman working as a real estate agent noticed a strange young man in the office who was interested in housing but was standing outside the door. She was simply seized with terrible horror while looking at the face of a client with black eyes, after which she rushed away from work, slamming the doors in front of this guest. Her daughter said that such visits have already caused the death of several people from Oregon.
The next incident happened to a girl who went into a store to buy tea. Before leaving, she noticed that a guy dressed in black was watching her while she was looking for the car keys, but her eyes without whites seemed the embodiment of evil. She immediately realized that this was not a person, but a terrible monster in his body, as people tried not to even get close to him, but tried to bypass him. After this incident, the American is sure that terrible creatures live in our world that do not favor earthlings.
Further, the scientists received a signal from a Nevada bartender working in a remote corner of the state. He noticed among the few visitors an unfamiliar couple in black glasses who had come here on foot. Customers ordered beer and began to examine the premises, after which they decided to remove their accessories. When the man brought the order, he also noticed a strange anomaly, and then he even decided to ask the lady about the doctor, as he considered that there were big problems with her eyesight. After such attention, people began to look at the American with such an unkind look, where, in addition to hatred, there was genuine fear that he immediately felt unwell. The bartender could not understand how these patrons could get here without transport, quickly disappearing after paying with new bills, and also why they were so angry with normal human emotion.
There have been versions about contact lenses worn by teenagers who are members of various gangs, but then why did all the people who came into contact with them have an identical feeling of fear? Also, the negative energy coming from uninvited guests, with attempts to hypnotize people and get an invitation to enter, defies logic. Researchers of anomalous phenomena believe that vampires or demons that take the form of children can behave in this way in order to arouse compassion in adults.
The latest hypothesis of experts was the opinion that black-eyed creatures are hybrids of aliens with people, and therefore can not only change their appearance, but also affect the mind, causing various unpleasant emotions. They might have been warned not to break into earth dwellings, but to try to communicate and instill trust in order to prepare the planet for takeover.
They may be wrong in their judgments, but there is no smoke without fire. All meetings take place at night, the creatures want to receive an invitation and cannot wear glasses that close their eyes for a long time, since they suppress the will of the interlocutor with their help...
