In the first months of my daughter's life, when it was the hardest for me, my husband did not understand the talk about the nanny: he considered it a whim and said that "everyone manages on their own. " But over time, noticing how tired I was, he began to support me.

We agreed that I would pay for the babysitting services myself. There were several options: to fit into the budget that my husband allocated monthly for household and current expenses, to take money from the child allowance or future earnings, which at that time did not even loom on the horizon.

The financial side of the issue suited me, and I began to think about what kind of cooperation with a nanny would be comfortable for me. Here are the highlights.

I would not trust my daughter, for example, to a student of a pedagogical university. Therefore, I especially looked at the questionnaires of candidates over 40 years old.

Constancy. I didn't want different nannies to come to us every time. I needed a reliable and constant assistant, to whom I would explain once what and how to do, and I would no longer repeat the same thing. In addition, it would be difficult for my daughter to get used to a new person every time. nine0003

It was important for me that the nanny was physically resilient. Therefore, at the interview, I asked in detail about this. If the child is out of sorts, is she ready to comfort him in her arms? If the daughter bursts into tears while walking, will she be able to carry her and push the stroller at the same time? How my daughter and I got used to a new person

At first, the nanny came for 1.5-2 hours. I decided that it would be easier to start with daytime sleeps in a stroller: my daughter sleeps peacefully, I don’t waste time on unloved walks, the nanny is gradually getting used to the child.

Delegating wake time was more difficult: a six-month-old daughter needs to be entertained, calmed down and almost dance with a tambourine to distract from me.

When I first went into the next room, my daughter played with the nanny for half an hour and became capricious. I had to take her in my arms. She remembered this and the next time she didn’t let me leave - she started crying as soon as the door closed behind me. Therefore, at first, I tried to be in the visibility zone more often so that the child would be calmer.

Little by little my daughter got used to the presence of a new person in the house and every week she spent more and more time without my presence. Two months later, I could leave the house for 2-3 hours, and she calmly endured without me and breastfeeding.
