It’s a B.I.C. Kind of Holiday  {Masterpiece Weekend}

These weekend features are to remind us of all the INGs of life. The Doing. The Nothing. The Speaking (of the Holy Spirit). The Listening (of our hearts).

B.I.C.-ING

Today, whether you’re Boycotting, Ignoring, or Celebrating the holiday, we ask that you focus on 2 things: LOVE and GRACE.

Yes, dear friends, the time has come for a Halloween facelift of sorts.

According to our survey that we posted on Facebook earlier this week, there are a wide variety of opinions on this particular topic. And unfortunately, it seems our mom community is rather divided on the trick-or-treat-ish subject.

So for today, we think it would be appropriate for each one of us to lay down our verbal swords, our defensive armor, and heated disputes. It’s time we stood as sisters and joined one another in love (although be forewarned — half of the sisterhood might be in costume).

We don’t want this to be a day that divides, but rather unites us through Christ.

Good news, people:  The victory has already been won! And evil does not get the last word.

We know who holds this world in the palm of His hand. (Shocker, we know, but it’s not the Incredible Hulk.) Regardless of what we see spread across our television screens or the scary looking things we may see walking down the street today, the cosmos is safe and secure in His grasp. Furthermore, our faithful God has promised never to leave us or forsake us. And His perfect love casts out all fear.

No matter what day it is on our calendar, we can rejoice, because this day belongs to HIM!

“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”  ~  Psalm 118:24

The Lord bless you and your family this weekend as you celebrate Him. To God be the glory!
