Yes, it is amazing how the Lord provides exactly what we need, when we need it. And we’ll have to see what we can do for vlogging in the future. For now, we’re still trying to figure the ins and outs of podcasting. Thanks for the encouragement as we learn!!!

It is amazing how the LORD brings what you need to hear to you when you need it. I had the radio on this morning and every song that played was just encouraging me too!!!

Sometimes we wonder if we’re just talking about these things because they’re so close to our hearts and where we’re at right now in our seasons of mothering. So glad these concepts hit home for you as well. Being “honest and truthful” with how you’re really doing is hard, but so important. Love how Ecclesiastes talks about friendship: “Two are better than one…if one falls down, his friend can help him up” (Eccl 4:9-10). This task of motherhood is amazing, but it can also be overwhelming at times. It’s important to have those close friends who are a safe place to open up to, without judgment. The kind of friends who will sift through your words and see your heart, hug you, cry with you, and then at the appropriate time, encourage you to keep going, with your eyes fixed on Christ. We’re cheering for you! Thanks for sharing your heart with us!

With having just become a Mom, a lot of these myths apply/affect me…even though it’s only been 3 months of being a Mom. Especially myth #5 of having a perfect relationship with Christ at all times…which then goes along with #4. If I feel like there is that expectation of me always being “on” with God (and with my hubby being a pastor), it prohibits me from being honest and truthful on how I am doing. So thank you ladies :) You are speaking truth that needs to be heard.
